As a travel advisor, I do a LOT of research on a lot of destinations. That is a big reason people want to use a travel advisor, so they don't have to do that themselves. Well, I frequently get the question: where do I want to travel next? The longer I am a travel advisor, the longer my list grows. So today, I'm sharing with you my top 5! My goal is that in the next 5 years or less, I will have completed this list and be ready to start on the rest of my long bucket list that I'm sure will be even longer by then.

5. Take a trip by train.

This is one that I've added to my list since I started this business. The more I research rail travel, the more I want to be a part of the growing number of people who chose this method of transportation! There are trips all over the world by rail, however, the ones at the top of my list are either in Europe or right here in the U.S.

4. Go on a U.S. Road Trip

My husband, Zeb and I love taking road trips! It is an amazing way to bond, jam out to our favorite music (cue all the Disney music!) and see some sights we would have missed otherwise. Some of our favorite parts of a road trip are the ones that were unplanned: when we stopped to see wildlife on the side of the road or saw a short trail to hike on and just had to see what was at the end. We have been known to just pull over to even take a quick picture of the scenery.

3. Go Whale Watching in Alaska

One of my favorite things to see in a new place is the wildlife and local animals and Alaska would be no different. I would absolutely love to see the whale and bears in Alaska and cruise the inner passage to see the amazing sights in that area. This is one of those trips that I have dreamed of so much, I have already picked out my cruise and excursions to take so that I will get to see and do everything I have dreamed of while I'm there.

2. Be Pampered at an All-Inclusive Resort

I don't know about you, but the idea of arriving at my vacation and not worrying about what I will eat, what I will do or anything else absolutely appeals to me! From the time I am picked up from the airport to the time I'm dropped back off, I want my vacation to be nothing by relaxing. This is what an all-inclusive resort is all about! This is super high on my bucket list because this will probably be the next type of vacation we go on. I think Zeb and I are both equally excited about this vacation!

1. Hang out with Locals in Ireland

Many of you probably know that Zeb and I just got back from Scotland this past Spring. After completely falling in love with Scotland, we are now determined to check out Ireland as well! Ireland is full of culture, wildlife and beautiful scenery that we are ready to check out. In Scotland, we did a road trip around the country and we are wanting to do a similar road trip around Ireland and see everything we can possible see while we are there. If time permits, we may even head back to Scotland to revisit some of our favorite places.

So there you have it, my top 5 travel bucket list items! What's on your travel bucket list?
